Max and Lyn Lehmann

Max and Lyn Lehmann are your hosts at Rock-Al-Roy and we'll do everything we can to help ensure your stay with us is as relaxing and pleasant as possible. We really enjoy making our guests feel at home and we'll give you as much companionship or as much privacy as you want. We also enjoy showing off our home town of Kingaroy and the South Burnett region, and we're happy to arrange private tours to local wineries or other tourist attractions if you'd like - just ask us.

What Rock-Al-Roy Can Offer You

Rock-A-Roy is located on small acreage just a few kilometres from the heart of Kingaroy. It's close enough to town to be convenient to everything but far enough away so that you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside.

Rock-Al-Roy is run by Max and Lyn Lehmann (that's us in the picture at left). Before retirement, Max was a bank manager and served as a Kingaroy Shire Councillor for many years. Both have also been heavily involved in community work their whole lives and are still very active in Kingaroy Lions and many other community groups as well.

This has given them not only a great love and understanding of people, but also a wealth of amusing and interesting stories (if you enjoy a good yarn).

Max is also particularly fond of cooking and has an extensive knowledge of wine. So if you're interested in wine yourself, he knows all the South Burnett's wineries and would be happy to arrange a private tour to personally introduce you to the region's winemakers and their wonderful cellar doors.

And because of their involvement in the community, Max and Lyn also know Kingaroy and the South Burnett inside out. So they can advise you on all the great things to see and do on your visit to make your stay as much fun as possible (you can also get an overview of some of Kingaroy's attractions by clicking here) .

All The Comforts Of Home!
Rock-Al-Roy is a spacious, modern brick home built on a hill on the outskirts of Kingaroy. It has more than 60 metres of verandahs that offer sweeping, panoramic views over the town and the surrounding countryside.

Before it was converted into a bed and breakfast in 2003, Rock-Al-Roy was the family home for Max, Lynn and their children. So it's very large and guests have their own private rooms.

Rock-Al-Roy has two types of accommodation: one guest room with a double bed and another guest room with two single beds. Each of these also has its own shared bathroom and separate sitting room, with shared toilet facilities in a separate room.

The house also features attractive gardens; an abundance of pot plants and ferns on the verandahs (Lyn is a keen gardner); pergolas and a combined sunroom and fernery. Max and Lyn also collect antiques and curios, and Rock-Al-Roy is dotted with many unusual and charming items that they've collected over many years.
